University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury is New Zealand’s second oldest university. It was founded in 1873 as Canterbury College, the first constituent college of the University of New Zealand. The University of Canterbury (UC) has been awarded $31.5 million of government funding over seven years to continue hosting Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE, a national centre of research excellence for earthquake resilience.
